For over 16 years, SON Estrella Galicia has been a pioneering force in curating unforgettable music experiences across Spain, with expansions into the UK, Portugal, the USA, Brazil and Uruguay. Now, this renowned music project is setting its sights on Germany, bringing a series of microfestivals to Berlin that blend world-class live music, craft beer culture, and a philosophy that celebrates sustainability and communities across all events.
The first stop? Berlin’s legendary BI NUU kicking off on March 29th with a sold out event (English Teacher, RIP Swirl & Andreya Casablanca), the excitement continues with a newly announced show in September, headlined by garage rock legends Black Lips, followed by another unmissable event in December, featuring Lambrini Girls.
Kicking off in 2025 with these three highly anticipated concerts, SON Estrella Galicia Microfestivals will introduce German audiences to its unique blend of independent music and premium beer. As the music-focused extension of the independent, fourth-generation brewery Estrella Galicia (crafting exceptional beer since 1906) – SON Estrella Galicia has been blending beer culture with memorable music experiences since 2009. With past lineups in Spain, UK, Portugal, USA, Brazil & Uruguay including artists like YAEJI, Roosevelt, DEADLETTER, 2manyDJs, Panick Shack, Militarie Gun, Crack Cloud or Dream Wife, among others, and partnerships with innovative and sustainable street food vendors, their events uphold a strong commitment to sustainability and community support. The project integrates eco-conscious practices to minimize its environmental footprint while maximizing its impact on the local arts and food scene.
Berlin’s BI NUU – named after the third album of German punk outfit IDEAL – is currently one of Berlin’s most renowned music venues since re-opening its doors in 2012. It will transform into a cultural hotspot where music lovers can indulge in an immersive experience of electrifying performances, top-tier craft beer, and curated street food collaborations. With the March event already sold out, excitement is building for SON Estrella Calicia’s German debut.
SON Estrella Galicia has a long history of supporting emerging talent and creating unique live music experiences. Their events often bring well-established artists to more intimate settings, giving audiences the chance to see bigger acts like Black Lips in a special, up-close format. This approach allows for an immersive and personal connection between artists and fans, a core value of the project.
Marked as pioneers of extreme Positive Impact events, Estrella Galicia are renowned for their consistent conscientious eco-activism and goals for sustainability throughout the four generations of the brand. They were championed for their SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia Festival in Formentera, Spain as zero waste heroes after being the first festival in the world to achieve True Platinum Zero Waste status from GBCI. Beginning at their roots in Galicia, Estrella Galicia has worked hard to create eco-friendly products and events as well as maintaining sustainability status through trading relations with local farmers and suppliers to produce their product and maintain consistent home-grown quality.
With the growth of the brand, their mission has extended to new markets like Berlin, where they saw an exciting opportunity to bring their signature live music experience to a city traditionally known for its electronic music scene. By introducing their microfestival concept, SON Estrella Galicia aims to offer something different and enrich Berlin’s diverse cultural landscape.
With these three events, Berlin is gearing up to be the heart of a fresh wave of music and beer culture – don’t miss out!
