Lener announces an indie rock era and releases „Can’t be what you want me to be“, the first single of her second EP, which will sound much snottier and louder than any of her previous releases. Although the artist originally comes from a classical background, her heart has always beaten for indie rock. Back in her school days she liked bands like The Strokes, Two Door Cinema Club or Phoenix, today The Linda Lindas or Brockhoff. Lener loves loud band rehearsals, the sound of distorted guitars over tube amps and studio sessions until dawn. The first single „Can’t be what you want me to be“ will be released on 27.09, further singles will follow.
