Buffalo Traffic Jam is a folk band from Bozeman, Montana, where members Frankie Cassidy and Nathan Ross met as students at Montana State University. United by their love of storytelling and the raw beauty of acoustic sounds, they began writing music reminiscent of vast landscapes and the emotions that lie dormant beneath the surface of everyday life. The result was a self-titled debut EP, followed by the singles “Rescue Me” and “Forgot Your Roots”; the latter brought the band its first success on the internet and led to the signing of their very first record deal with Arista Records. With rich harmonies, stripped-back instrumentation, and vocals that evoke feelings – be it longing, joy, or the bittersweet in-between – Buffalo Traffic Jam create songs that linger long after the final chord.
